Past Grand Masters of the Grand Liberal Lodge
The first Grand Master of the Grand Liberal Lodge of Italy is Bro. Marco Galeazzi.
In life a professional engineer and a former adjunct university professor, he was born in 1954 and lives in Ancona. He was initiated Entered Apprentice on the 20th March 1981, in the “historical” Stamira Lodge no. 192, under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Italy of the AF&AM .
During his membership in the Grand Lodge of Italy he performed important local and national roles. He was also in charge asVice-President of CLIPSAS (Center de Liaisons et de Information des Puissances maçonniques Signataires de l’Appel de Strasbourg), with the role of Treasurer.
In 2017 he left the Grand Lodge of Italy of the AF&AM, and founded, along with other Brethren of his town, the “Stamira Virescit – Ankon” Lodge which, after a period of activity as an independent lodge, flowed into the Italian Traditional Masonic Order (OMTI). In December 2018 the “Stamira Virescit – Ankon” Lodge joins 14 lodges from other Italian regions to found the Grand Liberal Lodge of Italy and to propose a model of Freemasonry that recovers its role as an initiatory school, in full respect of the principles of Freedom, Equality and Fraternity.
